Update in pictures . . .

Hi all - I just realized I haven't updated this blog since Christmas!!  Truth is, we haven't been doing a heck of a lot the last few weeks - what with root canals, vet issues and cool cloudy weather - not any of the things you want to post about in a travel blog!

But, the root canal went just fine (considering it WAS a root canal after all); the dog is on the mend and finally seems to have the right medication for some type of skin infection, and the weather has turned nice again.  Remember when I posted about Kipper loving the water . . . well, maybe Border Collies aren't supposed to think they are water dogs after all - as the skin condition seems to have been cause by the water - and not being able to get all his "folds" completely dry.  I guess that's why Labs have that protective oil in their fur . . . Border Collies don't!

I'm just going to post pictures now . . . so you know we are really still in Mexico.  Next week we are going to start taking a few day trips, so will have a bit more to share after that.

Never get tired of taking these shots!

Kipper comes with us when we head down to a beach palapa restaurant for a couple of beers and chips . . .

Mamine sells oyters at the restaurant

Tequila shots on New Year's Eve - the shot glass lights up and blinks when you want a refill!

I think this little truck has all it could handle!

My favorite night - Saturday Taco Night!  muy Bien!!!

The dough . . .

.... and a little sauce!

Golfing at Campo Ensueno - Field of Dreams just a few kms from Lo de Marcos - I don't keep score!

This truck is made from cement . . . it's so good I thought it was carved from wood at first!

BWD - Big Wave Day!

Iguanas like Habiscus flowers . . .

All done!

Horse on the beach . . .  and Arturo "horsing around"!

Scorpion!!!!

Actually, it's a dead scorpion . . . but looks like it's ready to pounce!

The surfer dudes don't mind the big waves - but too much for us!

Next time, pics from Chacala Beach and hopefully San Sebastian del oeste . . .  .
